Julia practices exclusively in the area of family law. She has experience in a wide range of family law matters, including divorces, custody matters, child support, modifications, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements as well as protective orders. Julia is trained in family law litigation and Collaborative law.
Julia Martindill attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a B.S. in Nutrition. After graduation she became certified as a paralegal, also through the University of Texas, and spent three years working as a family law paralegal. Recognizing that family legal practice would be a lasting passion and an ideal vehicle for her talents, Julia then went on to complete a JD at Texas Southern University. Upon completion of her JD, she graduated magna cum laude. While in Law School, Julia completed a competitive internship with the Federal Judge Kenneth M. Hoyt. Julia also participated in Access to Justice, a program commissioned by the University of Texas to implement policy initiatives for the purpose of expanding access to legal services for low-income families and individuals.
Julia’s fluency in Spanish makes her capability a valuable asset to the Hispanic community of central Texas. She is also an active member of the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section, the Austin Bar Association Family Law Section and the Texas Young Lawyers Association.
