What is a retainer?
A "retainer" is an advanced fee based on the lawyer's hourly rate and the complexity of your case that you will pay at the time you hire an attorney from our firm. Think of a retainer as a "down payment" from which future attorney's fees and costs are deducted. As we do work on your case we pay ourselves from your retainer.
Retainers are placed in a special account, and costs are deducted from there. At Menduni Martindill PLLC all of our retainers are refundable, meaning if your case is completed and you still have unused funds on your account, those unused funds will be returned to you.
Additionally, we will work with our client's to set up a payment arrangement that meets their needs. Our clients can pay retainer fees via check, cash, or credit card.
